Sunless Tanner Picks

best self tanners

When it comes to sunless tanner, believe me when I say I've pretty much tried them all. Now that it's summer and we're all baring more and more skin (thanks, heat wave) I thought I'd share my picks with you!

I think the most natural-looking tan has little to no orange color and more of a golden glow hint of a pink undertone. Like you've really been in the sun... you know that color I'm talking about! So for little smell, ease of application and overall color payoff (with one application) I have two favorite self tanners!

First things first, do not even remotely think about self-tanning without first exfoliating. Your tan is going to last days longer and look far more even (and real) if you'll just take the time to properly exfoliate. I've tried several exfoliants but my favorite product is still the Jergens Color Primer In-Shower Scrub. Shop it below!

If you're going to be self-tanning on the go, say, while you're on vacation OR if you need a super quick application... the Loreal Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Towelettes are your new best friend. Be sure to unfold the towelettes as you need go so the color payoff is uniform from your chest down to your legs. I've made the mistake of unfolding the whole towelette from the beginning and I ended up with super tan legs and barely tan arms. Learn from my mistakes! :)

For at-home self-tanning sessions... NOTHING beats St. Tropez Classic Bronzing Mousse. The color legitimately looks like you just got back from any island-hopping exotic vacation your mind can dream up and the smell is lightly citrusy! You must use the application mitt to properly apply the mousse in a circular motion, and it virtually guarantees you'll have a super even, amazing tan. Trust me on this one, if you haven't tried this product before, it's a must for the summer.
